iDeal Acoustics new

Jingles All the Way!

The radio studios of Joe and Qmusic still have that fresh-new-studio smell, but in the meantime, iDeal Acoustics also delivered four audio production studios and a voice booth for DPG Media Netherlands.

“It was an exciting project because each of the four studios had different dimensions, which meant different standing waves,” explains Matthias Aerts of iDeal Acoustics. “We tackled that by installing custom-tuned bass traps, precisely matched to the right frequencies. The deadline was tight, three of our builders worked full-time for seven weeks. But the result speaks for itself: four high-end acoustic studios and one voice booth.”

Perfectionists at Work

From concept to final touches, everything was designed and executed in close collaboration with DPG and the audio designers themselves.

Project leader Okke van Bergen oversaw operations:

“As a mediator, I translate the needs of the users while keeping the company’s expectations in mind. These are true professionals, perfectionists who need the best possible conditions to do their job. And I believe we delivered exactly that.”

A Spotlight for Slash

Each sound designer was also given a budget to personalize their studio space. Kevin is unpacking the last items and has already added a few plants. A framed photo of Slash from Guns N’ Roses gets pride of place. Then the acoustic door closes. Time to make some noise!
